Back to some of our summer fun. 
In early September, Reno hosts a rib cook-off, and not just any rib cook-off, but the Best in the West Rib Cook-Off at The Nugget. It was delicious. The event featured 24 different rib cookers from all over the United States. 
We stopped by the first day and tried a couple of different ribs and even ended with some delicious soft serve. 
Having only hit a couple of the different rib cookers we decided to come back the next day and once again ate until we were full. 
Even after two days at the event we hadn’t even tried half of the rib places, but we did take some ribs and a turkey leg (a BBQ cook-off is not complete without a turkey leg). 
It was a delicious couple of days. Mom’s favorite were: Carson City BBQ for Beef Ribs (their chicken was also pretty good) and Butch’s Smack Your Lips BBQ for Pork Ribs. Papa's already planning next years trip.
